Crispy Delight: Cannabis Cauliflower Buffalo Wings

Cannabis Cauliflower Buffalo Wings

Ingredients:

For the cauliflower wings:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the buffalo sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)

  • 1/4 cup cannabis-infused olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (or vegan butter for a vegan option)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

  2. Prepare the cauliflower: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss until evenly coated in the batter.

  3. Bake the cauliflower: Arrange the coated cauliflower florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through cooking.

  4. Make the buffalo sauce: While the cauliflower is baking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, cannabis-infused olive oil, butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

  5. Coat the cauliflower: Once the cauliflower is done baking, transfer it to a large mixing bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the cauliflower and toss until evenly coated.

  6. Serve: Transfer the coated cauliflower buffalo wings to a serving platter and garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro, if desired. Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks for dipping.
